Last Sunday, on March 23rd, over 150 community members joined a solidarity event hosted by RISC in collaboration with other local organizations supporting immigrant communities.

RISC is dismayed by the election of Donald Trump, who has a history of making hateful remarks about immigrants and enacting policies detrimental to their safety and wellbeing.

Last Tuesday, RISC held its first meeting at Tallwood High School in Virginia Beach, marking the establishment of a RISC chapter at the school.

Last Saturday on May 18th, around 70 people gathered at the Crescent Community Center in Virginia Beach for a community event to show solidarity with refugees.
